Winter Wonderland Essentials!

Essentials For A Winter Wonderland

Hey y’all! My name is Stacy and I hail from Northern California. Today was FINALLY chilly enough for me to avoid considering shorts and a tank top, so I thought with the cold weather inspiring me, I’d share with you a few of my favorite essential oils that help me through the winter time (which, unfortunately, is still considered beach weather in the bay area.) However, it does occasionally get cold enough to actually be deemed winter weather, so without further ado, here are a few of my essentials for those chilled winter days!

  • Peppermint and Wild Orange
I love this blend so much! I don’t know about you, but I sure as heck have some trouble getting out of bed and getting going in the winter. With the invigorating cool of peppermint and tangy uplifting scent of wild orange, this blend comes together to awaken the senses and impart a burst of energy that won’t have you crashing later!
  • Lavender
Lavender is hands down my favorite essential oil by far. I like to call it the Swiss Army Knife® of essential oils because there are just SO many uses for it. There tends to be less sunlight in the winter time, which means less Vitamin D for our skin to absorb. With less sunlight, moods tend to drop or get all gnarly. I love the soothing scent of lavender because it’s so relaxing, as well as a fabulous natural antidepressant. (Frankincense, chamomile, and ylang ylang essential oils are also good mood lifters if the scent of lavender just isn’t your cup of tea.)
  • Juniper Berry and Orange
This is my go to blend for a crisp and refreshing scent that is reminiscent of both winter and the holidays. Juniper berry is crisp and woody, which blends beautifully with the sweet tang of a citrus oil like Orange. With the calming effects of juniper berry and the gentle lift of orange, you can’t go wrong diffusing this in the winter time!!

Thanks for giving me a few moments out of your day to read this sappy love letter of mine 😛 I hope the rest of your day and week is as magnificent as you are!
